Finals Exemption

I found out today during French 1 class that I was able to get an exemption for the French finals exam next week. I got so excited because this is the first time that I got exempted from the finals in any of my subjects (not including the semester when Ondoy struck). I’m just so happy today. This is the highest grade I’ve ever gotten that I’ve worked hard for by myself. I got a B+ in a couple of other subjects before before but I can attribute it to great group mates or Ondoy. This time it feels like I earned my B+.

Some people wondered why I would want to take a foreign language class for my free elective. My friends told me that if I wanted to easily get a high grade for my free elective, I should take a Chinese language class or one of the film watching classes. I chose French 1 because that’s the FLC(foreign language class) I wanted from the beginning. I wanted to get French during my second year but all the slots were already taken so I took Japanese 1 instead. I’m now thinking of getting French 2 for my free elective next semester. I’m still trying to weigh if I can handle the workload next semester. Another reason why I haven’t decided yet is because my French 1 teacher will not be teaching French 2 next semester. I don’t know why I like the French language but I just do. The earliest French phrases that I learned were “tu est belle” and “omlette du fromage” (because of the cartoon Dexter’s Laboratory) during my elementary days. It’s a bit weird because I usually lose interest in a subject after a couple of weeks even if I like it. This semester, my interest in the French language pushed me to study hard even if I was already very tired because of my other subjects.

I’m not going to take the test on Monday anymore because my grade is too low to reach the next letter grade. It’s not the A that I was hoping for at the start of the semester but I’ll take it. I hope this experience of success will last long enough to inspire me to work just as hard in the next semester.

Je vais rester chez moi parce que je n’ai pas d’argent. Je n’aime pas les voyages. Je préfère dormir. Je vais étudier le français parce que j’adore le français. Je vais regarder la télé tous les jours. J’adore House et Big Bang Theory. Je vais lire le livre. Je vais chez mes amis. Nous allons faire du basket. Je vais assister à la fête d’anniversaire de mon ami. Il va avoir vingt ans. Je vais manger à Mall of Asia avec mes amis à l’Ateneo. Je vais faire du shopping. Je vais faire des exercices à Fitness First. Je vais faire du jogging et des haltères.

Mes amis sont jeunes, généreux, et intelligentes. Ils sont Theodore, Perkin, et Kevin. Mes amis ont une voiture. Je joue au Monopoly Deal avec mes amis. Je mange à l’Ateneo avec mes amis. J’étudie la théologie, la philosophie, et la gestion avec mes amis ce semestre. Nous parlons tous les jours.

Bonjour! Je m’appelle Christopher Scott Pua. J’ai vingt ans. J’habite à Manille. Je ne travaille pas. J’étudie à l’Ateneo de Manila University. J’étudie à la gestion. Je n’ai pas de petite-amie.
